Pip Monster Alive And Well
It’s official! My “Pip Monster” automated trading strategy is working gang busters. Backtested it for months now and it’s consistently giving profits. Not only that but I’ve got it running against all major currency pairs.
So far I’m taking it slow though, more testing, and only focusing on a couple currencies at a time. Today the EURGBP currency pair is giving me some juicy profits. I love it!

Move Over Forex Robots – Pip Monster Will Destroy You!
The last few months I’ve been working at automating signals so that I can go on with my day and get alerts via email, sms, or a loud sound alarm when marketing conditions are ripe across several currency pairs.
Other Forex Alerts, Signals, and Robots just weren’t cutting it and like anything else in life, I like having complete control and tweaking MY ideal trading environment… so a few days ago I launched my Free Forex Alerts.
Automated Trading System Update
The last few months I have worked on a semi-automatic trading system, aka Forex Signals, that Alert me whenever there is a potential trading opportunity. Simply because none of the signals out there really worked for me and I like to tweak my criteria. So far they’ve been running great and I’ve taken it a step further and automated entries and stops.
For the last few weeks I’ve been tweaking, writing, rewriting, analyzing, testing, tweaking some more, banging my head against the wall, and learning more than ever. I’m happy to say that the last couple weeks I’ve had some really successful automated trading strategies run on several currencies. AND I’ve taken that a step further and expanded my automatic system to 9 currency pairs.
Free Forex Alerts
Great News, I’ve been developing Forex Alerts for the Major Currency Pairs and you can now sign up to my alerts for free! These alerts are meant to identify potential trading opportunities, so you don’t have to be glued to your computer all day. You could say these alerts are great for “semi-automated trading”.
Why develop these alerts? I have been very disappointed with all the different Forex Alerts and Forex Signals, they just don’t work most of the time and I didn’t find any meaningful trade opportunities were identified. So I started working my own system, and found it was very consistent, but found that checking for my alerts manually was a little time consuming, so I created automated alert messages based on my proprietary criteria, and instead now I get my Forex Alerts via email.
ActForex S3 Moving Average Cross Over Alert Strategy
In January of 2010 I started writing trading strategies for the ActFx trading platform. Typically trading strategies are used to automate trading, I took a different approach… You see I am a big believer of the human touch. In my 30+ years dealing with computers (I started very young), I’ve come to realize that “Technology is Great, when it works” and that technology is simply a tool that works best when technology and human intuition are married. Voila… and my first trading strategy was born that simply alerts traders of potential trading opportunities, using two Exponential Moving Averages on the 1 hour chart, across 13 currencies! No trades are placed.
Alert on Activity Strategy for ActForex
If you’re using ActForex as your trading platform then you should have a look at this trading strategy.
I created this script to alert me with a sound whenever there is some activity on the 5 minute chart. It uses the ROC indicator and plays a sound whenever the ROC is above .4 or below .4. Great for catching sudden activity of 30+ pip movements without having to be glued to the screen.
Moving Average Cross Over Alert Strategy
If you’re using the ActFx Platform then you might want to check out this strategy that I’ve created.
The ActFx platform allows you to run strategies, that basically based on some conditions carry out trades for you automatically. Instead of placing a trade, this Moving Average Cross Over Strategy simply displays an alert and logs the cross over.
I created this strategy so I could get alerts when the 13 & 21 MA on the 1 hour chart cross over and then can make a trading decision based on my analysis. You can change the MA’s and time frame.
