Pip Monster Update

“Pipmonster” is alive and well. My semi-automatic trading strategy has found a  new home…  MetaTrader 4.   As much as I like ActFx, the constant bugs, memory hogging, and crashes just made it practically impossible to trade.  Not to mention that the broker I was with, Forexyard was an absolute nightmare and I had nothing but problems… but that’s all in the past.

Over the last few weeks I’ve written countless indicators and expert advisers (ea’s) and I’m happy to say I’m really loving MT4.  Great platform, and it’s stable!   I can do 10 times as much and use 1/4th of the memory.   The indicators and support forums alone are worth it, but I gotta say I really like the flexibility of the MetaEditor and the available programming platform.

Market Analysis for June 6 2010

This week I wanted to give you some additional market insight.  A “sneak peak” of my premium signal service.

The Tokyo Market opens in 40 minutes and I usually don’t trade the Asian Session.  However I do use this time to do my trend analysis, chart my favorite currency pairs, and set alerts as per my premium signal setups.

NOTE:  These setups and market analysis are for educational purposes only for trading on demo accounts.   My setups are simply potential trading opportunities and further chart analysis is required at the time a setup is hit.

Day trading: A Volatile Business

Many of us look for quick way of making money which is easy. But when you talk about quick money there is certain risk also associated with it. If you are looking for investing your money in stock market then before you start doing it there are certain rules of the trade that you should be aware of. As an armature you will end up losing everything so gather information and learn the tricks of the trade.

Earlier single day trading was reserved for financial companies and professional investors however today this can be done by any casual trader from his home. The early investors for this trading were people working for various investment firms or fund management.

Usd/Cad Parity – Loonie and Greenback are 1:1

All day the Usd/Cad went further down towards parity, many traders anxiously awaiting Parity.  Here it is.  Interesting to see where it goes from here!

Will it bounce back up?   Drop further?

The MA50 and 200 on the 5 minute chart are showing a downtrend short term.   As are the longer term 4 hour and 1 day charts.

Will the Loonie hit Parity?

Trading at 1.00174 right now, the USD/CAD is close to parity.  It’s been hovering around this level today, this being its third attempt of the Loonie (Canadian Dollar) to break through.

Exciting times ahead!   The European and UK Markets will open in an hour and two hours respectively so there may be some more steam coming.

OMG… Best Monitor Setup for Trading!

New Favorite Indicator – Ichimoku Kinko Hyo

Ichimoku Kinko Hyo is a mouthful to pronounce and even harder to read. Funny story is that I had always wanted to try and make sense of it and then in true Law of Attraction fashion a Forex Webinar Presenter mentioned that he likes trading with the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo during the Asian Session as Asian Traders are more likely to use it, hence you’re able to trade with the flow so to speak.

Best Times To Trade Forex?

The last couple weeks have been interesting.  Great trading opportunities presented themselves at 1100 GMT during the European Session and as of the last few days the US Session surprisingly was very active later on during the day around 1800 GMT.  For me that meant I slept through the good opportunities while my ActFx Alerts and Indicators went crazy…  The good news is… No Trade is a Good Trade.
