Forex Signals

There seem to be many interpretations of what Forex Signals are… Let me start by telling you my definition:

Forex Signals are Forex Market Conditions that signal a potential trading opportunity based on technical criteria. These Forex “Alerts” can be either manual or automated, meaning either a live person or computer determine that the market conditions are optimum to take a trade. In my books, semi-automated and manual are king.

Forex Signals differ from Forex Robots in that the automated trading software (aka Forex Robot) places the trade for you. You could say that a Forex Signal is generated and the Forex Robot then places a trade. What’s really important is that you understand that Forex Signals only provide you with potential trade opportunities and you decide whether or not to take the trade.

As with Forex Robots, there are alot of get rich quick schemes and Forex Scams you need to be aware of. Simply put, if it’s too good to be true, it usually is. I’ve subscribed to various Forex Signals and have had mixed results. Overall I wasn’t very impressed. Hence I no longer subscribe to these signals and I’m not retired on an island.

Experience dictates that the best Forex Signal is your own signal. You need to come up with a trading plan, trading system, and trading strategy. Use a mix of no more than 3 indicators. Leading and Lagging. Test it thoroughly to produce consistent results. And then and only then you have something.
